Spinner lock

The Ford tribar spinner simply snaps into the wheel. This makes it fairly simple for anyone to steel. To protect your spinners a simple and inexpensive locking mechanism can be fashioned by inserting a round object, the size of the spinner prongs inside the spinner once it is installed on the wheels. This prevents the prongs from moving and thus can not be removed without removing the wheel.

The best way to find something to insert into the spinner is to take it with you to your local hardware store. I found several items that fit, A PVC test cap in the plumbing section, and in the hardware section, a set of brass sliding closet door handles.  The pictures shown are of a brass closet door handle.
